The One less traveled

On The Road

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

So I'm walking at work the other day heading to some crisis I'm sure, and on my journey I got to thinking about how I made it here at this very moment. I thought of the Robert Frost poem Road Less Traveled and I kind of smirked thinking, yes he diverged but he's freaking Robert Frost. I then thought about it and I have also taken the Road less traveled. If the road that is more traveled equates to making it through college, having a career, and having a family. I certainly went the other way. I begrudgingly went the other direction. For better or worse, here I am. Down a path that was thickened with thorns, weeds, desperate animals (oh my, thats a low blow) and well you get the point. Once I said to myself that even though it was a road not paved over yet, it was still a freakin' road! I felt comforted and arrived at my crisis ready to solve the world.

I've met someone. It's still early. Too early to blog about. Cross your fingers, seems like a normal one.
