Imagine a Woman
Imagine a Woman
Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman.
A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.
Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.
Imagine a woman who trusts and respects herself.
A woman who listens to her needs and desires.
Who meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who acknowledges the past’s influence on the present.
A woman who has walked through her past.
Who has healed into the present.
Imagine a woman who authors her own life.
A woman who exerts, initiates, and moves on her own behalf.
Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and wisest voice.
Imagine a woman who names her own gods.
A woman who imagines the divine in her image and likeness.
Who designs a personal spirituality to inform her daily life.
Imagine a woman in love with her own body.
A woman who believes her body is enough, just as it is.
Who celebrates its rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.
Imagine a woman who honors the body of the Goddess in her changing body.
A woman who celebrates the accumulation of her years and her wisdom.
Who refuses to use her life-energy disguising the changes in her body and life.
Imagine a woman who values the women in her life.
A woman who sits in circles of women.
Who is reminded of the truth about herself when she forgets.
Imagine yourself as this woman.

excuses...
I am constantly full of excuses. That is my go to answer. No, I didn't do that...I couldn't get that done because of this, poor poor me.
Does anyone really have it together fully? I cannot imagine it. I'm hopeful that everyone is out there, fumbling around doing stupid shit.

Choose
LOVE THIS! It's so true, when you get down to basics...all you have to do is choose happiness. Seems like it would be easy, but sometimes we get wrapped up in all the chaos of life and forget just how simple it all is. It's been a pretty rocky week for me this week, and I came across this picture on tumblr and I just couldn't stop looking at it. Aside from the cute green dress in the background (that's my favorite version of green) I just love the whimsical nature of it tied with such a powerful message.

...it's been a bit
Hi there. It's been a little bit since I've posted here. I can't really say I've been that busy...just haven't really gotten here. I've settling into summer, as much as I dislike the humid weather. I really want to go swimming. I am about to go jump into some random pool, although that could get me arrested. hmm. I've started a good book called Friday night knitting club. There are probably 4 more books I'd like to start reading...soon. It's 4th of July already! Crazy. I have zero plans for the 4th. I will sleep in, read, nap, maybe do some laundry, nap...hahaha. Well without further ado, here are some recent pics. enjoy.

i was very excited about this rad pink glitter polish.

i was dragged to Home Depot...so I played with the flowers.

my very photogenic cat :)

this was a debacle. I love this headband, but no one else does. I've been ridiculed everyday for this. My weirdo friends have even written a song about it. I don't really care. I love it.

Meet Kai. He is my friend Ed's dog...and is one of my favs.

visiting Hagerstown. Went on a visit to the beautiful park.

This is Rufus. He is a big old pit bull...who has my heart. Look at those eyes.

i am really THAT crazy cat lady, right? haha. He was very focused on a bird outside the window.

Jason laying with Gabbanna. Such a sweet picture.

it's cool. you can call me a crazy cat lady. I had to share Gabbanna, because lately when she falls asleep her big, furry belly sticks out and she stretches her paws out and looks so damn cute.

this one is hard to explain ;) There is a board game called Trailer Park Wars...and it's amazing.

Passing under the bridge on the way to Hagerstown

Yellow flowers from my friend Jon & Jeremy's house

Cool purple flowers found by Caribou

love this sign. I made Jon go under it 3 times. He wasn't pleased.

a cool old farmhouse I was visiting.

random yellow flowers

my driver's side mirror. I really should stop taking pictures while driving, or hire a driver.

Google!
This is most definitely not as exciting to anyone else but me...but, I don't really care. I googled myself (like any self respecting 21st century human should) and I am on the top search page! I took top billing over a porn star who has cred on IMDB! I can go to bed knowing just how important I really am. Haha...I'm so kidding, BTW.
